Accessibility Statement
This site should work for everyone, however you browse. Here is the standard we hold it to, what we have built in, and how to tell us when we have fallen short.
Last updated: September 7, 2026
Nest Cleaning Co. wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, need larger text, or prefer reduced motion. A cleaning company that talks about making homes easier to live in should be reachable by the people who most need that.
The standard we aim for
We are working to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the level referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance and by Colorado state accessibility rules. We believe this site substantially meets that standard, and we treat any gap as a fault to fix rather than a matter of opinion.
What we have built in
- Keyboard access. Every link, button, menu, and form field can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible. A "Skip to content" link is the first thing you reach on every page.
- Screen readers. Pages use real headings, lists, and landmarks rather than styled text. Menus and the FAQ accordion report their open or closed state. Every image carries alt text, and decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology rather than being read out as noise.
- The services comparison table. On our cleaning checklist, each cell carries text as well as a symbol, so a screen reader announces "included" or "add-on" rather than reading a mark aloud.
- Colour and contrast. Text is checked against its background to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Text sizing. Text is set in relative units and stays readable and laid out correctly when zoomed to 200%.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations and transitions are turned off.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are announced, described in words, and marked on the field itself rather than by colour alone.
- Phones and tablets. The site is built mobile first, and works in portrait and landscape without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
We would rather tell you about these than let you discover them:
- The embedded Google map on our service area section is a third-party component whose accessibility we do not control. The same information is given in plain text as a list of the towns we serve, so nothing is available only through the map.
- The quote form is submitted through Formspree, a third-party service. Our form markup, labels, and error handling are ours and are built to the standard above, but we do not control their infrastructure.
- Our photographs are stock images of interiors. Their alt text describes what is shown, but a photograph of a clean room carries atmosphere that description cannot fully replace.
Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it, and we will fix it. Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened, along with the browser or assistive technology you were using if you know it.
Email: juan@nestcleaningco.com
Phone: (720) 481-4072
We aim to reply within two business days and to fix confirmed accessibility problems as quickly as we practically can. If something on the site is blocking you from requesting a quote, call us and we will take the details over the phone instead. You should never have to fight a website to book a cleaner.
Getting service, not just the website
If you have accessibility requirements for the cleaning work itself, such as a preference for unscented or low-odour products, a need for specific notice before we arrive, quiet working, or particular arrangements for a service animal, tell us when you book and we will work around them.
How we test
This site is checked with keyboard-only navigation, browser accessibility tooling, automated contrast checking across the full colour palette, and testing at mobile, tablet, and desktop sizes. We re-check when we change the site. Automated tools do not catch everything, which is why the feedback route above matters.
